Notes for Sarah Frances Garrison
I cannot find any record of Sarah Frances Garrison after Nora Lee Doyle’s birth in 1895. She probably died in childbirth or soon thereafter as Nora is living with her uncle and aunt, John Henry 1876 Dolye and Ann Elizabeth 1877 Garrison, in the 1900 Stafford County census. She is identified as “niece” in the 1900 census and daughter in 1910 census.

John L S Doyle is found living with his grandmother, Frances Dickerson Doyle (wife of Robert 1830-1906 Doyle) in the 1910 Dumfries, Prince William, Virginia census. He was born 5 Aug 1890; so, when Sarah Frances Garrison Doyle died ca 1895, he probably was with his grandparents. Remember, the 1890 census was destroyed by fire so there is no way to prove this.
