Elijah ca1796 Garrison’s wife, Lucinda Baldwin, married Stephen Pierce after Elijah died ca1845. Steven Pierce witnessed James Herschel Garrison’s wedding to Mary Catherine Sullivan in 1825 (Mason County).
Before marrying Lucinda, Stephen Pierce was married to Mary Baldwin, Lucinda’s sister. Elijah, Lucinda and Mary Baldwin probably witnessed James Herschel’s wedding too; they just weren’t named as witnesses in the marriage document (i.e. Stephen Pierce).

There appears to be two Elijah Garrisons in the 1840 census, one born 1791-1800 and one born 1801-1810. I believe them to be the same household with 2 adjustments. There is only one Elijah on the Mason County, Kentucky tax rolls between 1817 and 1835. Given an Elijah on the 1817 tax rolls, he must have been born before 1800 so the 1840 census showing an Elijah born 40-49 must be correct, making Elijah born between 1791 and 1800.
