Death of an Aged Citizen. –The funeral services of Mr. Roy A. M. Garrison, who died on the 10th instant, at the advanced age of 80 years, took place at 710 G Street southwest yesterday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Richard Norris, pastor of Ryland chapel, with which church the deceased had been identified, as a member, since his residence in South Washington, more than 35 years. The remains will be taken for interment, to Stafford county, Virginia, the birthplace of the deceased. Mr. Garrison had resided in the District of Columbia for more than half a century. During the construction of the aqueduct, at Georgetown, he was employed, under the chief engineers, as superintendent of the work. He was well known to most of the old residents of the city, especially in South Washington, and was highly respected in the community as a man of sterling integrity, as well as a good citizen and neighbor.
