After William died Lucy and Sallie are in the 1870 Stafford County census; her father-in-law Thomas 1807 Bowler was HOH. In 1880, Dora S (Sallie) Bowler is living with William Brannon and Louisa 1838 Payne Brannon, identified as “Niece”. Also note that Lucy’s son from her second marriage, Walter 1875 Gray, is also identified as “Nephew” in the same household and census. This is why I have Reuben and Catherine’s “Lucy” dying 1875-1880.
