Notes for John Byers
Decendant, Virginia Gooder (mother Evelyn Byers Gooder) autosomal DNA test shows Byers ancestors lived in Devon & Cornwall, England. “Byers” spelling found in Devon, not Cornwall. Also shows Byers family were Early Connecticut and Northeast New York Settlers. Logical as this John Byers lived in Pennsylvania.

I found an obituary today that states my gg-grandfather, Isaac Byers (1819-1894), moved with his parents to Stark County, Ohio in 1825. “According to Isaac’s pension papers, he was born in Certre Co. Pa.

There are no “Byers” in Certre County, Pennsylvania in 1820. I believe Isaac was born in Center, Butler County, Virginia. His father:
