WWI Draft Registration states Calvin’s nearest relative is George Jordan, identified as his brother. Calvin did not have a brother named George. His “nearest relative” must have been his son, George. Presumption that Calvin’s wife, Sarah Sallie Garrison, must have died before 1918. Calvin, Sallie, and George are not in the 1920 census. George, “nephew” is in the 1930 Richmond City census, living with his Aunt Sallie Jordan Pruett and her husband Barksdale Pruett HOH.
