Moses (#2) was a private in Captain William Alexander's Company in the Regiment commanded b y Col. Dart of the Virginia Line during the Revolutionary War.
 
At the conclusion of the War Moses (Jr.) removed to Mason Co., Ky. where on 6 July 1833, whe n he was 78 years of age, he applied for a pension. In his application, which is identified a s S-1201, he stated that he arrived at Yorktown before the arrival of General Washington an d before the arrival of the fleet under the command of a French officer named de Grasse. He s tated that he assisted in the landing of artillery from the French fleet. Further, he state d that he was at Yorktown during the whole siege and until
the surrender of Lord Cornwallis. Soon after the surrender he was honorably discharged, his h ealth having become impaired. He was granted a pension of $30.00 per annum. He died in Maso n Co., KY ca 1835.
