GARRISON, William E. age 80 of Brooksville died Sat., June 16, 2007 at Hernando Pasco Hospice Care Center in Brooksville. Born in Garrisonville, VA he moved to the area 18 years ago from Virginia Beach, VA. While in High School he moved from his native Garrisonville to Frederickburg, VA, then to Virginia Beach, VA. He graduated in 1950 from The College of William and Mary with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education later returning to earn his Masters degree in Education. In 1976 he became Supervisor of Physical Education for the elementary and secondary public schools in Virginia Beach. He was a US Navy Veteran of WWII, coached the track team at Norview HS in Norfolk, VA, worked as supervisor of transportation for the Virginia Beach Public School System, and was a member of St. John?s Episcopal Church in Brooksville, FL. He is survived by his wife of 58 years: Barbara ?Becky?; son & daughter-in-law: Raymond & Challie Garrison of Lake Jackson, TX; daughter & son-in-law: Dorothy & Shannon Cox of Suffolk, VA; brother & sister-in-law: Dr. Jack & Mary Garrison of Virginia Beach, VA; sister & brother-in-law: Catherine & Franklin Liebenow of Fredericksburg, VA; & 6 grandchildren. A memorial service will be conducted 10:00am, Tues., June 19, 2007 at St. John?s Episcopal Church with Rev. Wayne Sistrunk officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hernando Pasco Hospice.
