Update from HO, Garrison Researcher: I think Rodney was the son of either Jesse or James and my inclination is Jesse. The facts that he lives in the upper end of Stafford in the Rock Hill and Garrisonville-area districts, and that he didn’t move with the rest of Aaron’s family, lend further credibility to me. Ooh, and I just noticed that in 1840, Rodney is listed next to James Atchison and John Atchison…perhaps relatives of his mother, Sarah, (wife of Jesse, nee Atchison)?
