• The following appeared on 11 March 1920 in The Montgomery Advertiser: Dr. E. B. Kirk, age 60, died Wednesday afternoon at a local hospital. He had made the city his home for about thirty years, and had many friends. He was a member of the Episcopal church. /P/ Funeral services will take place from Leak-McCarty Chapel this Thursday afternoon at three o'clock. Interment at Oakwood.
